About the Role We are looking for a Staff Nurse within the Unscheduled Care Service based at the Assessment Hub, 7B . Location Assessment Hub, 7B, NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Hours and Contract 36 hours per week, including shift work, night shift and weekends.
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027. From 1 April 2026, the working week for staff will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Responsibilities Support delivery of home treatment services meeting the needs of service users in Ayrshire & Arran.
Work within the Unscheduled Care Mental Health Assessment Hub during daytime and nighttime hours. Support delivery of established pathways with Police Scotland, AUCS, and ongoing developments within the Assessment Hub. Engage in crisis management and intervention across community settings.
Perform duties across many areas, working independently or as part of a team. Qualifications & Experience Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) essential. UK driving licence essential.
Working knowledge of a range of mental health problems. Experience in crisis management and intervention desirable. Acute mental health nursing in community setting and previous experience in crisis service/home treatment teams desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as a lone worker. Good understanding of current mental health policies and legislation. Right to Work Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom or be eligible for sponsorship.
