MEP Operations Manager- Greater Belfast TechMet are recruiting for an Operations Manager Client is based Greater Belfast and are involved in the design, development, and delivery of offsite-prefabricated energy systems. Based Greater Belfast and no travel required and salary package to compete with those having to travel to UK with work Solutions team oversees the programming, procurement, planning and execution of multiple offsite modular projects, including package plant rooms and MEP lateral and riser distribution modules. Working within a state-of-the-art Modular Solutions facility, the team plays a key role in cross-functional delivery alongside the wider decarbonisation business units.
Overview The Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction across the operational delivery of Offsite Modular Solutions, with overall ownership and management of the mechanical, electrical, BMS and offsite assembly teams, including management and resourcing of subcontracted labour. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, foster a culture of high performance, accountability and CI and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will provide leadership and governance while maintaining visibility and input across commercial, engineering, design, quality and logistical functions.
Develop, strengthen and support the offsite operations team to sustainably deliver against current demand. Provide operational input and guidance through design, engineering, planning and quality teams to drive operational efficiency. Have operational involvement across mechanical, electrical, BMS and offsite assembly teams to improve current cycle times and scale sustainably for projected growth.
Manage the Modular Solutions team to ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality. Resource and manage subcontracted labour in line with demand and ensure resource alignment to programme. Implement systems for forecasting workload, streamlining department operations and establishing a reporting cadence using relevant KPIs.
Lead staff recruitment and retention, sourcing labourers, skilled operatives, material planners and supervisors. Establish reporting and communication of operational performance and capacity to help inform expansion, investment and future work-winning decisions, ensuring data is timely, transparent and actionable Ideally candidates will have - Previous experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role. Proven mechanical, electrical, BMS and construction experience within modular solutions or the commercial MEP sector.
