Role Overview We're hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive outbound growth for Expandus Business Coaching Pvt. Ltd., working across our coaches in IT/software, EPC, manufacturing, and automotive. This is not a script-reading, appointment-taking role.
You will identify prospects, research companies and decision-makers, initiate conversations across multiple channels, qualify opportunities against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and book high-quality appointments for our coaches. Think like a B2B sales professional, not a telecaller: high volume, sharp objection handling, real business conversations, and relentless follow-up. Company: Expandus Business Coaching Pvt.
Ltd. Location: Koregaon Park, Pune Employment Type: Full-Time, Work from Office (Koregaon Park) Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM IST Key Responsibilities 1. Prospect Research & Database Building • Build and maintain prospect databases aligned to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). • Research companies, founders, and decision-makers before initiating outreach. • Use tools such as Ocean.io, Prospeo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify the right prospects. • Continuously enrich and maintain the prospect database. • Build and own target lists independently. 2.
Multi-Channel Prospecting • Run outbound across phone calls, LinkedIn outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, personalised emails, and WhatsApp where appropriate. • Make 60–80 outbound calls a day to SME founders and decision-makers. • Use whichever channel is most effective to start a genuine conversation, not just log an activity. 3. Discovery & Qualification • Conduct discovery conversations before booking any coaching session. • Understand company profile, industry, business size, revenue stage, current challenges, decision-maker involvement, and urgency for change. • Qualify every prospect against our ICP before booking an appointment. 4. Conversation Building • Build rapport quickly and ask intelligent business questions. • Listen actively and understand real business pain points. • Create genuine curiosity around Expandus rather than pitching. • Build long-term relationships through thoughtful, timely follow-ups. • Focus on starting conversations, not just making calls. 5.
LinkedIn Prospecting • Build relationships with founders and CXOs on LinkedIn. • Send personalised connection requests. • Engage prospects through thoughtful comments and messages. • Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator for account research and prospecting. 6. CRM Discipline • Log every interaction in CRM on the same day — no backlog. 7. Reporting & Coaching • Active reporting & Coachable What We're Looking For • 1–3 years in inside sales / SDR / telecalling (B2B preferred, not mandatory). • Any graduate from a recognised university (BBA/BCA/BE preferred). • Comfortable speaking with founders and business owners. • Curious, and naturally good at asking questions. • Strong at internet research. • Good at building relationships. • Confident communicator, comfortable with rejection — makes the next call without sulking. • Organised and disciplined with follow-ups; tracks own numbers without being chased. • Coachable — takes feedback on call recordings without ego. • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment. • English fluency required; fluency in any other Indian language is a plus. • Experience interacting with customers across India and international markets such as Singapore, Middle East, Southeast Asia, or Africa will be an added advantage.
