Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Kolkata. The Interior Designer will plan and develop interior concepts, prepare design presentations, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to refine layouts and finishes.
Daily tasks include space planning, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), coordinating with vendors and contractors, and reviewing construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design intent. The role also involves site visits for measurements, supervision of ongoing work, and quality checks to align completed spaces with approved designs. Documentation, timeline management, and regular communication with project stakeholders are integral to the position.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Interior Design skills, including concept development and detailing. Candidates should possess Space Planning skills to optimize layouts for functionality and aesthetics. Candidates should possess Architecture-related skills to understand building structure and integrate design solutions.
Candidates should possess Construction Drawings skills to prepare, read, and coordinate technical plans. Candidates should possess FF&E selection skills for appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment coordination. Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is beneficial.
Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills are expected. A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects.
