Content & Community Coordinator Made with Local Dartmouth, Nova Scotia | Full-time, In-Person Occasional travel to Windsor, Nova Scotia Who We Are Made with Local is a Canadian snack foods brand that makes delicious, nourishing snacks using Canadian-produced ingredients. What drives us: Passion for making delicious, nourishing, functional snacks Promoting and educating about local food systems and sustainability Transparent, authentic storytelling about running a scrappy, purpose-driven company Building community by sharing our real process, wins, and learning The Role We're seeking a Content & Community Coordinator who will be the voice of Made with Local across social media platforms, in customer experience online and in-person. You'll create engaging, scroll-stopping content for both paid digital and organic platforms.
This is a full-time in-person position in Dartmouth, NS. What You'll Own Organic and Social Ads Content Creation Create and execute organic content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other emerging platforms collaboratively with our Director of Marketing and CEO Produce original content for both social ads and organic social: photography, video, captions, and graphics (shooting, editing, and posting) for both organic platforms and social ads Copywriting for content and marketing assets Tell our story authentically—farmers, production facility, team, behind-the-scenes moments Build hype and community through meaningful engagement and conversation Community Building & Events Manage community activations, pop-ups, and tasting events Build partnerships and collaborations with aligned organizations and community spaces Create meaningful experiences that deepen customer connection to our brand Coordinate logistics, promotion, impact reporting and follow-up Supporting additional sales & marketing efforts Occasional travel, evening, weekends for trade shows/events Customer Service & Engagement Respond thoughtfully to customer DMs, comments, and inquiries Proactively reach out to build relationships with customers and community partners Represent Made with Local's values in every interaction Who We're Looking For You're someone who knows how create engaging, scroll-stopping content for paid digital and organic social media. You want to create content that matters and have fun while you're doing it.
You're detail oriented, self-driven, thrive in a fast-paced environment where needs & deliverables can change on a dime. That's a big part of succeeding in a small, scrappy company like Made with Local. Non-negotiable: 2+ years of experience in social media coordination, content creation, community management Genuine passion for sustainability, food, the outdoors, or the food/beverage industry Proven ability to shoot, edit, and produce exceptional photography and video content Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a lean, fast-moving team Ideal experience and qualities (we'd love to see): Community organizing, event coordination, or in-person marketing experience Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klayvio, Mailchimp, etc.
