Well⌠you might just be in the right place! The Revenue Operations team is critical to driving the success of our go-to-market functions. As the Manager, Sales Commissions, you will own the end-to-end commissions process and strategy, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with GTM and company-wide objectives.
You will be responsible for delivering timely and compliant payouts, driving process improvements, and producing strategic insights that inform incentive design and sales performance. Partnering closely with senior leadership across GTM, RevOps, P&C, and Finance, you will ensure commissions programs support both growth and accountability. You will also lead, coach, and scale a team of analysts to elevate the rigor, automation, and impact of our commissions engine.
This is a strategic, handsâon role for an experienced operator who brings analytical depth, operational leadership, and a strong drive for continuous improvement in a dynamic environment. What youâll be doing As the Manager, Commissions, you will lead the execution and evolution of our sales compensation engine. Youâll work crossâfunctionally to drive operational excellence, ensure alignment with company OKRs, and provide strategic guidance on compensation programs that drive performance and retention.
Monthly Payouts and Reporting You will be responsible for calculating payouts accurately and submitting them to Payroll on time, ensuring all processes and controls are respected. By managing this critical function, you will ensure transparency, timeliness, and alignment with GTM priorities. Additionally, you will run Monthly Insights Meetings for RevOps and Managing Directors (MDs), presenting actionable data to inform strategic decisions.
Business Reviews and Incentive Programs As part of the Revenue Operations team, you will actively contribute to the RevOps Monthly Business Review (MBR) deck and discussions. Your role will also include ownership of sales incentive programs, such as Elite performance initiatives, PIPs, spiffs, and the Presidentâs Club, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective execution. Analysis and Process Optimization Through detailed analyses, you will identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and growth across the GTM functions.
Your insights will drive continuous improvements in the administration of commissions and incentive programs while ensuring compliance with policies and controls. You will also focus on internal commissions process optimization, leveraging and implementing tools to automate processes, ensuring faster and more accurate calculations. Team Leadership and Training You will lead and develop a team of analysts, providing training and guidance to ensure the accurate execution of commissions processes and highâquality analysis.
By fostering collaboration and skill development, you will build a highâperforming team that supports the companyâs growth and success. Designing sales incentive plans across our global channels. Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organisational objectives even if this means doing things that arenât strictly within the scope of your role.
What you need to bring 5+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Finance, or Compensation in a fastâpaced GTM environment. 2+ years of people management experience Demonstrated experience owning compensation cycles and incentive program governance at scale. Proven track record of influencing crossâfunctional stakeholders through data, analysis, and strategic insight. Strong background in planning, reporting, and KPI tracking with a deep understanding of GTM performance levers.
Proficient in Excel, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms; experience with SPIFF & Looker is a plus. At Lightspeed we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data.
These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of $90,000 TO $110,000 CAD. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, RRSP plan and match, paid parental leave topâup, and paid time off.
