Role ASPICE Project Manager – Automotive Systems Location Chennai – Work From Office (WFO) Preferred Experience 7–14 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Systems, ECU Development, System Engineering, and Project Management with strong exposure to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) compliant programs.

Reporting To Delivery Manager / Engineering Excellence Practice About the Role We are seeking an experienced ASPICE Project Manager to lead end-to-end automotive system, software, and hardware development programs for ECU-based solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring ASPICE compliance, driving cross-functional collaboration, managing project delivery, and achieving quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction objectives within V-model development environments. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end automotive ECU and electronic system development projects across system engineering, software development, hardware integration, and validation functions.

Ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process areas including SYS, SWE, SUP, MAN, and HWE in alignment with customer and organizational requirements. Manage complete V-model lifecycle activities covering requirements engineering, architecture, software development, hardware coordination, integration, verification, validation, and release management. Drive end-to-end traceability across system, software, hardware, and testing work products using industry-standard requirements management tools.

Coordinate and mentor cross-functional teams including system engineers, embedded software developers, hardware engineers, quality teams, and validation teams. Monitor project KPIs such as schedule adherence, cost, effort variance, defect density, quality metrics, and process compliance while proactively managing risks and mitigation plans. Support ASPICE assessments, process audits, customer reviews, and functional safety compliance initiatives while ensuring audit readiness.

Manage customer communication, change requests, stakeholder expectations, and escalation management for global OEM and Tier-1 automotive programs. Technical Skills Strong expertise in Automotive SPICE (ASPICE Level 2 / Level 3) process implementation and compliance. Extensive experience in ECU Development and Automotive Embedded Systems.

Strong knowledge of System Engineering (SYS.1–SYS.5) and Software Engineering (SWE.1–SWE.6) processes. Experience with V-Model development methodologies and Hybrid Agile delivery frameworks. Proficiency in Requirements Engineering, Traceability Management, and Change & Configuration Management.

Knowledge of Hardware-Software Integration concepts including HIL and SIL environments. Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet. Exposure to ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards and quality assurance practices.

Non-Technical Skills Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of ownership, accountability, and decision-making capability.

Strong collaboration and conflict-resolution skills. Continuous improvement mindset with focus on quality and delivery excellence. Required Qualification Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 7–14 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Systems, ECU Development, ASPICE-compliant project delivery, and cross-functional program management.

Proven experience managing automotive software, hardware, and system development programs. Hands-on experience with ASPICE assessments, process improvement initiatives, and audit readiness activities. Preferred Qualification Master’s degree (M.E. / M.Tech) in Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety projects. Exposure to global OEM and Tier-1 automotive customer programs. Experience in multi-site global delivery environments.

ASPICE Assessor certification or equivalent process improvement credentials. Tools & Platforms IBM DOORS / IBM Rational Polarion ALM JIRA / Confluence Git / SVN and Configuration Management Tools Vector CANoe / CANalyzer Microsoft Project / Primavera Key Deliverables Successful delivery of ASPICE-compliant automotive projects. Achievement of targeted ASPICE maturity levels and process compliance goals.

Successful completion of internal and external assessments and audits. Continuous improvement of engineering processes, quality standards, and delivery efficiency. Enhanced customer satisfaction through predictable and high-quality project execution.
