Designation - Deputy Manager Department - Production (Piping) Education Qualification - BE / B Tech in Chemical or Bio-chemical or Mechanical Years of Experience - 8 to 10 Years Work Location - Pune Travel Requirement - If required Job Profile - Overview Should be a results-driven and focused professional who would not only be expected to achieve and preferably exceed his own pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) but should simultaneously set, monitor and appraise the subordinates’ KPIs to sync with the Department’s cumulative performance parameters. Assisting the HOD in building a well-knit Team, periodic appraising of performances of the Team, well-before-emergency-alerts for shortfalls and to be an effective bridge between the Internal-&-External Customers and the HOD shall form the key attributes for this Role. It is expected that the incumbent shall be an effective Team Player and an Innovative Problem Solver to the core.
Accountable and Responsible for : 1 Review, Share, Discuss & Finalise Navis 3D Model (before extracting the Isometric Drawing) and share the feedback with the Design Team (Engineering & Project) 2 Receive, Review, Add Value, Plan, Allocate, Delegate & Monitor Progress & Quality of all the Engineering Design Drawings (P&ID, GA, 3D & Isometrics) together with the approved-BOM for Planning the Piping Fabrication activities AND Allocate / Delegate to the Fabrication Team depending upon the Skill sets required, Project priorities & Timelines 3 Involve, Add Value, Co-ordinate, Monitor & Ensure expeditious purchase, Identify-&-Escalate special purchasing needs, if required for the Project, to the concerned Departments (of Project, Engineering, BPE, Procurement) 4 Release Work Order & Issue Material Release from Stores, appropriate Delegation, Compliance to ASME BPE, Quality & Timelines to Commence Piping Fabrication work though a Release of Work Order together with Issuance of Material from Stores (as per approved-BOM) through ERP --- 1. Allocate & Monitor the Fitting-&-Welding Team AND Ensure Quality-&-Cost in the Orbital-&-Manual Welding, 2. Ensure the Quality of the Argon Gas (for Welding purpose) from the Third-Party-Vendor, through Residual Oxygen Meter to Ensure Quality of the Weld joints, 3.
Consistently Monitor the Fitting &-Welding Team's progress with respect to the Project Timelines, 4. Supervise & Ensure that the overall Manufacturing Processes conforms to ASME-BPE requirements 5. Raise Inspection Call to internal QC for IPQC and/or Rectification and/or Observation Points, 6.
Doccument the Weld-Map and Weld Seam Log Preparation and Handover over to internal QC for validation of ASME BPE and GDP Standards, 7. Coordinate & Monitor with the Third-Party-Passivation/EP-Vendor for Quality-&-Timelines check on the post-welding Tube Treatment, 8. Review the IRN of Vessel (from the Production-Vessel Deptt) & Receive Vessel for integration with the partially fabricated Piping, 9.
Monitor the complete Integration of the whole Mechanical Assembly, along with Cable Trays, Panels-&-Junction Boxes, 10. Supervise the Packing of the Fabricated-&-Integrated System and the subsequent Inter-Unit Transfer for Pre-FAT & FAT Activities. 5 Monitor, Deploy appropriate Manpower & Ensure Compliance to MOM, Coordinate with FAT-execution Team (QAV Deptt) & Comply with the Rectifications/Observations of Pre-FAT MOM 6 Verify & Ensure Updation and Handover Pre-Packing Checklist to the QA Deptt 7 Verify & Ensure Support to the QAV Team in the final Dispatch activities, including systematic System Dismantling with adequate Tracing-&-Tracking Labels 8 Plan, Monitor & Ensure Site Piping & other Mechanical Activities, inclusive of Man-&-Machine Allotment 9 Prepare MIS Reports, Verify Vendor Bills, Schedule-&-Conduct Training programmes, Monitor Labour-&-Machine Productivity, Review SOPs, Monitor Third Party Validation & Ensure cGMP & EHS norms & Administrative Jobs -- 1. Prepare Daily MIS Production Report preperation and Intimate the concerned Departments, 2.
Monitor Daily Attendance of Contractual Labour & Prepare MIS Report for Superiors, 3. Verify the progressive Billing of the Piping Vendor, 4. Raise Indent for Purchase Orders, as and when required, 5.
Recruit & Train On-Rolls and Contractual Labour for Piping Fabrication that would conform to ASME BPE, 6. Train new On-Rolls Recruits (colleagues) w.r.t. knowledge of ASME BPE Standards, Monitoring of stage-wise Quality, effective Supervision of contractual Labour and other sundry Shopfloor activities, 7. Identify-&-Validate-&-Manage Third party Vendors in response to Fabrication workload, 8.
Plan, Schedule, Delegate & Monitor the Preventive-&-Breakdown Maintenance of Shopfloor-Machines & General Area as per cGMP requirements, 9. Plan & Ensure an Accident-free work environment by complyingwith all EHS norms 10 Participate & Add Value & Support in Internal-&-External Quality Audits 11 Participate in the Meetings, Add Value & Provide Feedback to Management, Conduct periodic Review Meetings with the entire Production-Piping Team (both On-Rolls & Contractual) and Provide Feedback to the Management on matters related to such key issues as --- Cost Reduction-&-Savings, Variance Analysis, Skill-set Onboarding and On-time Delivery Key Performance Indicators 1 Zero or minimum reworking / modifications / course correction 2 Zero or minimum holdup that can be attributable to the Piping part of the Projects completed during the Year 3 Comprehensive compliances to ASME BPE and other Regulatory Codes / requirements of all the Deliverables 4 Innovativeness for making the Skid / Systems --- Aesthetic in Design and Compact in their footprints.
