Position Structural Engineer Location Manchester Salary £34,000 to £44,000 Ref MAR159 Job Overview A Manchester-based engineering consultancy seeks a structural design engineer to strengthen their Building Structures team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. Prepare high quality technical reports including dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys.
Undertake analysis and design using software packages such as CSC Fastrak and TEDDS to support reporting tasks. Ensure consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, etc.). Liaise with and lead other design team members to achieve coordinated design solutions that meet client objectives.
Work on small to medium refurbishment and building extension projects. Qualifications Strong academic background with a Masters or degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Consultancy-based experience as a structural engineer on UK projects with similar responsibilities.
