Habitat houses are sold to families at no profit, financed with affordable loans.

A key source of funding for our mission comes from our retail operations at the Clark County Habitat for Humanity Stores. With two locations in Clark County, these home improvement outlets accept donated new and gently used building materials, furniture, appliances, lighting, and other home goods.

Proceeds from these sales support Habitat homebuilding projects while also keeping tons of reusable materials out of local landfills. Evergreen Habitat is searching for a dynamic and committed professional to serve as our Store Manager at our Clark County Habitat Store – Central location. This position is responsible for establishing a productive flow of daily operations, and ensuring the store upholds efficient, organized, profitable, and high functioning standards set forth by leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee day to day store operations and employee performance Promote donations, drive sales and profits of the Store to provide sustainable funding to support Habitat for Humanity’s work Implement strategies to achieve the goals and objectives identified in the affiliate’s annual budget and business plan Work with affiliate staff to develop marketing and advertising programs to build store’s visibility in the community Establish, implement and review policies and procedures for the safe, secure and high-quality performance of all aspects of Store activities Oversee the effective merchandising of the floor, maximizing available display space and use inventory control and pricing to ensure appropriate turnover of merchandise Work in partnership with affiliate staff to recruit, train and engage volunteers in meaningful ways Develop and enforce pricing policy and processes for store merchandise. Review and adjust pricing as necessary for changing market conditions Hire and train Store staff; establish annual performance goals for each and monitor performance results Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Competencies Dedication to and ability to articulate the mission and core values of Habitat for Humanity Exemplary leadership and problem-solving skills, including addressing unexpected issues and emergencies Ability to effectively guide all aspects of retail store operations Skill to manage customer and donor issues and complaints professionally and courteously Ability to manage time and workload efficiently, including timely arrivals and reports Knowledge of safe and appropriate tool and equipment use, such as a forklift, pallet jack, and dolly Knowledge of communication tools, such as telephone, email, and 2-way radio Ability to effectively use, manage, and teach the volunteer management platform Get Connected Adaptable to a changing work environment Desire to learn and teach new operations skills as the program develops Three (3) years minimum experience in a leadership or management role, or equivalent work experience Excellent communication skills (verbal, reading, and writing) Any qualifying combination of education, certification, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position General Work Schedule 40 hours/week; variable, includes evenings and weekends Work Environment and Physical Demands This job operates in an open, warehouse retail environment This position is very active and requires consistent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing This employee must frequently lift, move, and/or load items over 50 pounds with mechanical assistance and/or a team lift Salary and Benefits Salary: $60,000 Annually Benefits include Paid medical and dental insurance Retirement contributions Paid holidays and generous PTO To Apply Email resume and cover letter to Habitat atlindsi@ehfh.org.
