Role Title: Sr Manager, Chapter Lead Position Summary: Leads a cross-functional chapter within FMs Global Information Security & Risk Management function, spanning governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) capabilities and select cybersecurity engineering disciplines. Serves as the senior in-region Information Security leader during local business hours, accountable for oversight of all work executed by the chapter and for representing the broader Information Security organization. Ensures India-based chapter members are effectively integrated with US-based security teams, extending organizational capacity, enabling follow-the-sun coverage, resolving impediments, and making risk-informed decisions aligned with organizational risk appetite.
Job Responsibilities: Serve as the in-region Information Security leader for FM India teams, representing US-based leadership during local working hours and ensuring continuity of leadership, decision-making, and risk oversight. Lead and manage a cross-functional chapter spanning GRC and cybersecurity disciplines, with accountability for delivery quality, operational effectiveness, and team performance. Act as the primary escalation point for day-to-day issues, applying cybersecurity and risk management expertise to assess impacts, remove impediments, and guide teams toward effective resolution.
Function as a key communication bridge to Information Security leadership, including the CISO and domain leads, providing clear insight into team performance, emerging risks, capacity, and opportunities for process improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships across the FM India organization, acting as the visible security presence for engineering and product teams and ensuring alignment to security expectations. Ensure consistent application of security policies, standards, and risk management practices across supported teams; proactively identify where formal risk assessment or governance engagement is required.
Coordinate closely with US-based stakeholders on resource allocation and priorities while maintaining accountability for local execution, delivery quality, and operational effectiveness. Drive onboarding, knowledge transfer, and cross-cultural collaboration to strengthen integration between India-based and US-based teams. Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and talent development efforts in-region, with a focus on building a high-performing team across both GRC and cybersecurity disciplines.
Maintain a strong focus on information security governance and risk management, staying aligned with regulatory expectations, industry frameworks, and evolving organizational risk priorities. Skill and Experience: 7 years of experience required to perform essential job functions. Demonstrated leadership of cybersecurity, technology, or governance teams, including responsibility for performance management, professional development, and delivery oversight.
Broad understanding of cybersecurity disciplines, including governance, risk management, compliance, third party risk management, controls oversight, and technical security operations. Experience managing technical teams and escalations, including the ability to assess issues, make risk-informed decisions, remove impediments, and guide teams toward resolution. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across global teams and acting as a bridge between regional teams and senior leadership.
Ability to build trusted relationships with engineering, product, business, and security stakeholders while ensuring alignment to security expectations and risk management practices. Experience driving onboarding, knowledge transfer, cross-team collaboration, and operational consistency across distributed teams. Must Have Skills: GRC Programs.
