Senior Manager - Sales Operations and Marketing
Treelife
Job Description
Position: Senior Manager - Sales Operations and Marketing Reports to : Founder Location : Mumbai (in-office) What this role is We need a marketing senior who can build and run two things: a content and brand machine that drives inbound, and a sales infrastructure that keeps the pipeline visible and moving. You will not be doing sales. You will be making sure the systems, data, and reporting around sales work properly, while spending most of your energy on marketing that actually converts. This is not a performance marketing role. We do not run paid ads. Our growth comes from content, SEO, events, referrals, and reputation. If your instinct is to throw budget at Meta and Google, this is not the right fit. What you will do A. Marketing and brand (primary) Own Treelife's content strategy across LinkedIn, newsletters, blogs, and the website Manage a small content team: set direction, review output, maintain quality and consistency Build and execute an organic growth playbook: SEO, answer engine optimisation (AEO), thought leadership distribution Plan and launch offline events (founder meetups, roundtables, ecosystem gatherings) as a new channel Own the marketing calendar and make sure nothing slips between ideation and execution Track what content actually drives leads, not just impressions B.
Sales operations and pipeline (secondary, but critical) Own the CRM (Pipedrive): data hygiene, pipeline stages, automations, team adoption Build funnel tracking from lead to conversion with clear visibility on drop-offs and velocity Set up dashboards that give founders a real-time view of pipeline health Run regular funnel reviews with the sales and delivery teams Track lead sources and channel performance, reallocate effort to what converts C. Reporting and insight Build monthly marketing and sales reports for the founders Surface trends early: which services pull demand, which channels are fading, where the funnel leaks Maintain a single source of truth for all growth data What we are looking for 7 to 10 years of experience, with depth in B2B marketing and some exposure to sales operations Has been through a meaningful scale phase at a company (10 to 100, in revenue or team size) and contributed to that growth, not just watched it happen Strong with content: can set editorial direction, write when needed, and hold a team to a high bar Understands SEO deeply and is already thinking about AEO as search behaviour shifts Comfortable managing a small team (3 to 5 people) while staying hands-on Strong with numbers: funnel metrics, conversion rates, CAC-level thinking Hands-on CRM experience, preferably Pipedrive Professional services, B2B, or startup ecosystem background preferred Clear written and verbal communication AI-native: uses AI tools daily in their workflow, not as an experiment What will not work Pure performance marketers who think growth equals ad spend People who need a large team and big budgets to get things done Marketers who optimise for vanity metrics over pipeline impact Someone who has only worked in large, structured marketing orgs and has never had to build from scratch
