Overview Boldly Grow the Good in Business and Life – Become BMO’s next Senior Business Development Manager supporting BrokerEdge clients in making real financial progress. Situated in Edmonton, Alberta, this position is ideal for an experienced broker channel relationship builder. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with centres of influence and third parties (e.g.
Brokers, Brokerages, Builders and non‑BMO Investment Advisor Offices) for designated home financing sales programs and products. Applies market and industry expertise to deliver a winning customer experience that will grow market share. Identifies share of wallet opportunities and refers business opportunities to key partners.
Responsibilities Develop home financing sales strategies that achieve profitability objectives. Generate new referral relationships and develop new opportunities to grow business results. Model effective sales practices and behaviours to build and improve sales capability and enhance performance.
Support the regional sales programmes/products delivery to maximise client opportunities and increase referral volume and deal flow. Ensure delivery of the desired customer experience meets established guidelines. Act as a trusted advisor to assigned referral sources/groups.
Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives. Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business. Assist in the development of strategic plans.
Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making. Train and coach internal and external partners on programme/product operational guidelines and regulatory requirements. Help determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Ensure alignment between stakeholders. Break down programme performance metrics, analyse data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Provide support for analysis, forecasting and/or data visualisation, ensuring adherence with data governance standards. Design and produce regular and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards. Lead or participate in a variety of change‑management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programmes. Identify where performance improvement is required and work to improve or off‑board partnerships. Collect documentation for the onboarding and approval of new partnerships.
Negotiate pricing, underwriting and efficient presentation of applications with brokers, builders and programme partners. Identify and escalated any broker/partner behaviour that poses fraud, AML, reputation or other risks. Execute work to deliver timely, accurate and efficient service.
Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders to deliver the desired customer experience. Break down strategic problems, analyse data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Monitor and track referrals performance and address any issues.
Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues. Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise‑wide focus.
Provide specialised consulting, analytical and technical support. Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose and solve problems within given rules. Work independently and regularly handle non‑routine situations.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk‑informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets and adhere to applicable policy documents, laws and regulations. Qualifications Typically between 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In‑depth knowledge of mortgage programmes/products and B2B networks. Excellent presentation skills and time management. Proven business development success.

Salary and Compensation $75,900.00 – $141,900.00 Pay Type: Salaried & Commission. Salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, education and qualifications. Commission structure may be included.
