Position Overview The Campus Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and strengthening the security framework of NIMS University, one of India’s largest residential campuses with 30,000+ students and 5,000+ staff members . The role demands a disciplined, proactive, and experienced professional capable of ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant campus environment. Eligibility Criteria Minimum 10–12 years of experience in campus/institutional/large‑scale university security management Preference for candidates with experience in university campuses or large residential institutions Strong leadership and team‑handling capabilities Excellent communication, coordination, and crisis‑management skills Proven experience in drafting, implementing, and monitoring Security SOPs , emergency protocols, and compliance standards Sound knowledge of surveillance systems, access control, patrolling, and incident reporting mechanisms Key Responsibilities A.
Security Operations Management Oversee 24×7 campus security operations across academic blocks, hostels, hospitals, residential areas, and common zones Ensure effective deployment, supervision, and discipline of all security personnel Monitor CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and emergency response mechanisms B. SOP Development & Compliance Draft, implement, and periodically update Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with university security standards Establish protocols for visitor management, vehicle movement, and entry/exit control C. Safety & Emergency Response Lead emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and crisis‑response activities Coordinate with local police, fire department, and external agencies when required Ensure timely reporting and documentation of incidents, breaches, or emergencies D.
Team Leadership & Training Train and mentor security staff on discipline, communication, and emergency handling Conduct periodic briefings, performance reviews, and skill‑enhancement sessions Maintain high morale, discipline, and operational readiness within the security team E. Coordination & Administration Work closely with Administration, Hostel Wardens, Transport, and Academic Departments Prepare daily/weekly/monthly security reports for management review Manage security budgets, equipment procurement, and vendor coordination 4.
