Position Overview The Strategic Sales Manager for the Switchboard & Panels Division is a cross‑functional role responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening market presence, and ensuring operational excellence. This position blends strategic sales development with procurement and operational execution to achieve division and company‑wide targets in revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the Robertson Electric Switchboard & Panels program.

Promote the program internally to ensure strong cross‑department awareness and alignment. Collaborate with Account Managers to deliver customer‑focused solutions using available inventory. Build and maintain relationships with end users, consultants, contractors, and key decision‑makers.

Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and emerging customer needs. Support marketing initiatives through presentations, case studies, testimonials, and warehouse production tours. Source, negotiate, and manage program products to meet field requirements while ensuring cost‑effective solutions.

Issue purchase orders and coordinate with vendors on lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure supply continuity. Maintain accurate cost structures and pricing data to protect company profitability. Monitor inventory levels to optimize turnover, prevent stockouts, and ensure accurate part breakdown, categorization, and serialization.

Work with warehouse teams to stage, package, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule. Prepare and process customer orders, including drawings and approval packages, with precision to meet delivery and pricing commitments. Coordinate across sales, marketing, operations, and warehouse teams while providing leadership with regular performance updates, forecasts, and insights.

Train internal sales staff on Switchboard & Panels offerings and lead initiatives that improve workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven B2B sales success, ideally in electrical distribution, switchboards, or industrial products. Experience in procurement, vendor management, and supplier coordination.

Strong understanding of operational workflows in distribution and manufacturing environments. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and data‑driven work processes.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Strategic thinker with strong execution capability and commitment to achieving KPIs. Collaborative leader with cross‑functional influence, high attention to detail, and customer‑focused decision‑making.
