Description Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic Facility: Oregon Health & Science University Hospital Location: Portland, OR Employment Type: Travel/Contract Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 8:00 16:30 Start Date: 4/29/2025 Job Duration: 13 weeks Compensation: Rate Type: Hourly Over Time: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.35% Double Time: None On-Call: 6$ Call Back: 1.35% Holiday Pay: 1.35% Additional Information: Post Liver Transplant RN 5x8s 0830-1630 The Registered Nurse (RN) working as a member of an inter-disciplinary team is integral to Clinical Transplant Services. The RN functions as a liaison between the patients and staff members of the transplant team (physicians, social worker, financial counselor, psychiatrists, etc.) and has the primary responsibility for providing direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The RN is responsible for screening and educating potential recipients, direction of the evaluation process, facilitation of committee review, direction of additional testing and update testing, and management of the waiting list.
The RN provides initial and on-going patient/family education in a variety of settings. The RN is responsible for collection and evaluation of patient laboratory testing, diagnostic procedures, consults, and regulatory requirements. The RN provides post-transplant cross coverage for essential functions.
The RN assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered, working closely with all members of the inter-disciplinary team. The RN is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.
