What Youll Be Doing (position summary): The Reconciliation Specialist CMO is responsible for reconciling cash and securities associated with Nostro, broker, client, and suspense accounts, as well as trading, settlement, and various products, utilizing automated reconciliation systems, and some manually. The role is accountable for maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of daily reconciliations, reducing operational risk, and contributing to process enhancements within Capital Markets Operations. The Specialist collaborates with internal business partners to resolve outstanding entries and consistently meets stringent SLAs, contributing to the banks risk mitigation and operational excellence.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): Perform daily reconciliations of Nostro, Broker, Client, and Suspense accounts using automated reconciliation systems.

Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with stringent SLAs. Collaborate with internal business partners to resolve outstanding entries and minimize risk to the bank. Utilize TLM and source systems (BFS, Postedge, CDS, DTC, Fundserv, GL, GOW) for reconciliation activities.

Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance team and business partner experiences. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and adapt to evolving business requirements. Maintain high standards of data integrity and attention to detail.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Leaders of the supported SBUs and LOBs. COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls. AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS: As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

JOB DIMENSIONS: Responsible for reconciling Nostro, Broker, Client, and Suspense accounts across Capital Markets Operations, ensuring data integrity, timely settlements, and compliance with SLAs and regulatory standards in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Acts as a subject matter expert, collaborating with internal partners, clients, and counterparties to resolve discrepancies, drive process improvements, support cross-functional projects, and contribute to operational risk mitigation and business objectives. Experience: 3+ years of experience.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field. 3+ years of relevant experience in capital markets operations, settlements, or a similar function. Experience with automated reconciliation systems (e.g., TLM) and source systems (BFS, Postedge, CDS, DTC, Fundserv, GL, GOW). Proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using settlement platforms and related operational tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.

Ability to champion change, adapt to evolving processes, and drive operational efficiencies.
