Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Cybersecurity Analyst role based in Chandigarh, India, with the potential for full-time conversion based on performance.
The Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with senior consultants and vCISOs to support cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management initiatives for startups and growing businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with security assessments, compliance programs, customer security reviews, risk management activities, policy development, and security operations initiatives. The role also involves researching emerging threats and best practices, preparing reports and documentation, and helping clients strengthen their security posture while meeting customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
Qualifications 0–1 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong foundation in cybersecurity and information security concepts, including threat landscapes, risk management, and security best practices.
Working knowledge of network, cloud, and endpoint security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure architecture principles. Basic understanding of application security concepts, including secure coding principles, common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and security testing support. Ability to understand and work within broader cyber risk and compliance frameworks, with awareness of relevant standards and regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to learn, adapt to evolving threats and tools, and work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, ISO 27001 Foundation, or similar) are an advantage but not mandatory.
