You will lead automation strategy and execution, partner closely with delivery teams, and modernize testing practices to help teams ship reliable software faster. In this role, you'll translate business and technology needs into practical automation solutions, guide teams on tooling and best practices, and provide hands-on leadership across automation design, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Success is measured by increased delivery throughput, reduced manual testing effort, and improved stability and confidence in releases. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Execute a pragmatic in-sprint automation approach (what to automate, where to automate, and how to measure success) aligned to release priorities and delivery timelines. Build, enhance, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework, with hands-on delivery using Playwright and/or Selenium.

Support execution across platforms (including tools such as Perfecto where applicable). Integrate automation into Azure DevOps pipelines to enable fast feedback, improve release confidence, and reduce cycle time. Drive adoption of quality gates, reporting, and repeatable test execution.

Design and implement automated API and service tests in Python, including REST and gRPC validation. Partner with engineering teams to improve service testability and coverage (Java-based gRPC testing is an asset). Establish consistent standards for test design, traceability, defect triage, and execution reporting.

Provide clear, actionable insights on test results, risk, and release readiness. Work closely with application teams, platform partners, and QA colleagues to align on automation goals, unblock delivery issues, and coach teams toward sustainable quality practices. Identify bottlenecks and failure patterns, and drive improvements in automation reliability, maintainability, execution time, and environment-related readiness.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Work closely with application teams, platform partners, and business colleagues to align on PIV goals, unblock delivery issues Collaborates with solution architects and senior developers on design and technology standards. Works with QA teams to support functional, regression, and performance testing. Interfaces with production support teams to ensure operational readiness and issue resolution.

Works closely with business analysts to gather and clarify requirements. JOB DIMENSIONS: Individual contributor role focused on development and delivery of technology solutions. Provides technical expertise and advisory support to peers and business partners. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical discipline.

Must have skills: 3+ years of experience in QA and test automation across complex enterprise delivery portfolios. Proven hands-on expertise with Python, Robot Framework, Playwright and/or Selenium, and can build maintainable automation that scales. Comfortable integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on fast feedback and measurable quality outcomes.

Ability to implement lightweight governance (standards, controls, reporting) that improves consistency without slowing teams down. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical partners, and you can influence without authority to drive better outcomes. Can proactively spot risks, inefficiencies, and quality gaps-and you take ownership to fix them.

Nice to have: Service/API testing capability: Exposure to Java-based gRPC tooling is a plus. AI driven development. Capital Markets domain experience.
