Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer (Manufacturing) Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experience Type: Contract My client, a global manufacturer currently seeks a talented Project Engineer to join the team on a large term project. This is a pivotal role supporting the introduction and integration of new automated manufacturing equipment within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering activities for the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and modification of existing processes Manage full equipment lifecycle from specification and design reviews through FAT/SAT and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements Drive technical investigations and continuous improvement during development and integration phases Support production handover to ensure consistent performance, quality, and output Maintain and update documentation in line with GMP, change control, and internal standards Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs (COGs), and enhance uptime using lean principles Ensure all engineering activities comply with EHS policies and regulatory requirements Candidate Profile Proven experience in a manufacturing environment—ideally within medical device, pharmaceutical, or food production Apprenticeship-trained or qualified through a strong manufacturing/engineering pathway Experience working in regulated or high-volume production environments is highly advantageous Strong project ownership mindset with the ability to drive outcomes and influence stakeholders Familiarity with validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) and GMP standards Bottom of Form Interested?
