Platform Engineer
comply
Job Description
About the Company: COMPLY is the worlds leading aggregator of financial and regulatory data to support compliance. Our mission is to help financial institutions meet their regulatory obligations with confidence, clarity, and speed. We ingest, process, and enrich vast volumes of complex, high-variance data from hundreds of brokers, data providers and other sources of information across the US and beyond.
The scale, diversity, and importance of this data create unique technical challenges and opportunities for innovative engineers. Our Data Platform ingests, standardizes, and operationalizes data from hundreds of broker feeds, and supports a growing set of analytical, compliance, and customer-facing services. As we scale, its vital that our platform remains reliable, observable, and performant, and that our engineering teams are empowered to build with confidence.
Were hiring a Platform Engineer to help us achieve this. Key Responsibilities: Own and evolve the CI/CD pipelines for the Data Platform, supporting fast, safe, and repeatable deployments. Enhance observability across services, pipelines, and data flows, supporting logs, metrics, tracing, and alerts.
Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and access patterns. Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to ensure HA, disaster recovery, and scaling strategies are in place and well understood. Partner with engineers to define best practices for environment management, secrets, configuration, and infrastructure-as-code.
Support the team in diagnosing and resolving production issues and in building systems that are easier to debug and maintain. Identify and reduce operational friction, creating tools or automations where needed to improve reliability and developer velocity. Essential Criteria: Strong experience working with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application performance tooling.
Practical knowledge of observability stacks including metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting. Hands-on experience with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or cloud-native DBs), including monitoring and tuning.
Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS), containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation). A collaborative mindset, able to work across engineering and infrastructure teams to solve shared problems.
Passion for enabling others, improving developer experience, and building reliable systems.
