Lead Analyst

About Us National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst for our Capital Contract Management department in Melville, NY. Job Purpose To lead the contract lifecycle for end use of delivering value to the business and our customers with safe and compliant contracted resources. Key Accountabilities Develop and manage value‑added capital and contractual vendor relationships to ensure delivery of work within agreed timelines, cost schedules, quality and safety standards.

Champion bid events for internal business stakeholders while translating business needs to contract language. Support the development of strategies for new contract initiatives, maintenance of current contracts, annual reviews with contractors, and resolution and negotiation of contractor issues. Liaise with legal experts on contract review, negotiations, and dispute resolution.

Implement overhaul of contracts to align with best practices. Monitor contractual health and report to stakeholders with clear and concise reports and status updates. Support all levels of contract management in execution, including detailed recording of all communications with the contractor and maintenance of archived communications with contractors and business stakeholders.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or business disciplines preferred) or directly applicable contracting experience; lesser years of experience may be accepted if employing a preferred degree. Minimum of 7 years of work experience. Excel proficiency – Advanced.

Power BI proficiency – Advanced required. Experience programming/coding languages – SQL, Python. Salary $120,000 - $141,000 a year National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring.
