Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Lab Manager to support our growing diagnostics development efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing day-to-day lab operations with experimental execution and team support. As a key member of the team, you will play a central role in ensuring the lab runs efficiently while contributing directly to assay development, testing, and data generation.

This position requires a high degree of ownership, reliability, and professionalism, along with a willingness to step in wherever needed to keep work moving forward. Key Responsibilities Lab Operations & Management Oversee and participate in day-to-day lab operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient working environment Manage lab inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Maintain and coordinate calibration, maintenance, and servicing of lab equipment Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and organization of lab materials and data Hands-On Laboratory Work Execute laboratory experiments in support of diagnostic assay development and validation Perform sample preparation, assay workflows (e.g., PCR/qPCR or similar), and data collection Troubleshoot experiments and optimize protocols for performance and reproducibility Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records Quality & Compliance Support activities aligned with regulated or quality-focused environments (e.g., design controls, verification & validation) Ensure lab practices meet standards for accuracy, traceability, and reproducibility Assist with documentation needed for internal reviews, audits, or regulatory submissions Team Collaboration & Support Work closely with team members on experimental planning and execution Support cross-functional needs in a small team environment, stepping in as needed Communicate clearly and proactively on progress, challenges, and priorities Operational Ownership Take initiative to identify gaps, improve processes, and implement practical solutions Manage multiple priorities with a high level of accountability and follow-through Maintain a strong standard of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail Qualifications Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience, ideally including operational or lab management responsibilities Hands-on experience with molecular biology or diagnostic assay techniques (e.g., NGS, PCR, qPCR, sample prep) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced environment Preferred Experience in medical device, diagnostics, or regulated environments Experience with next-generation sequencing Familiarity with verification & validation (V&V) and quality systems (e.g., design controls, ISO 13485) Experience setting up or scaling lab operations in a startup or early-stage environment Exposure to data analysis tools or basic bioinformatics workflows What We’re Looking For A self-starter who takes ownership and drives work forward Someone who is hands-on and willing to do both operational and experimental work Strong professionalism, reliability, and accountability A collaborative team player who also thrives independently Adaptability and a willingness to step into different roles as needed Why Join Us Opportunity to have a meaningful impact in a small, high-performing team Broad exposure across lab operations, assay development, and product development A role with high ownership and visibility
