Forbidden Island Tiki Lounge in Alameda, now in its 20th year, is widely credited with spearheading the ongoing national tiki revival. As a family business with a veteran staff and a loyal community of regulars, we are proud to be frequently recognized on many "best of" lists. We are currently seeking an industry professional to manage day-to-day operations and help chart our course for the next decade. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader capable of managing an experienced team in a high-volume environment. While a passion for rum and Tiki culture is preferred, the ability to multitask effectively, maintain staff morale, and ensure an exceptional guest experience is essential. Duties include overseeing FI’s award-winning bar program, inventory, ordering, running service, covering breaks, scheduling, cocktail creation, meeting with vendors and reps and driving our ever growing and popular rum program, one of the oldest in the country! This is a full-time position consisting of one inventory/ errand shift (day-time based) and four service shifts.
