Job Description
Simpatico Hospitality Group, operator of Bacetti Trattoria and Bar Bacetti in Echo Park, seeks a passionate and professional General Manager to lead our team. Bacetti Trattoria is a 90-seat, full-service Italian restaurant offering dinner seven nights a week. Bar Bacetti is our small, adjacent aperitivo bar offering pizza, small plates, and beverages six days a week.
The General Manager will lead operations at both locations, oversee our staff of approximately 30 hourly team members, and will work with ownership and our existing management team to ensure warm hospitality, foster a positive work culture, and develop strategies for growth. The trattoria will celebrate its fifth anniversary in November; Bar Bacetti was opened in summer 2025. As a seasoned businesses, we have robust SOPs, a loyal customer base, and a dedicated team of managers and hourly staff members.
The incoming General Manager will benefit from this foundation, while having the opportunity to reshape our operations and develop a vision for onward success. This role entails both back-end management and floor duties during service. The ideal candidate will enjoy multifaceted work that requires analytical thinking, practical know-how, and people skills.

Key Responsibilities: Guest Experience: Display and foster warmth and hospitality, build rapport with guests, and ensure memorable hospitality experiences Develop and implement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction Address guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally Confer with beverage and culinary management to ensure cohesive and consistent offerings Manage and utilize CRM software; monitor reservations for VIPs and regulars; read, respond to, and act upon reviews Maintain complete knowledge of our menus, wine lists, house policies, and steps of service Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth by enhancing guest loyalty and driving new business Work with ownership to develop strategies to meet weekly and monthly sales goals Analyze sales reports and labor costs; identify cost-reduction opportunities Support and expand our private event revenue Optimize reservations and staff scheduling Oversee continued development of our brands, including marketing materials, social media, and potential collaborations or special events Leverage existing relationships with guests, vendors, and partners Management Duties: Act as senior manager and primary HR contact for all hourly staff members Oversee team of two existing FOH managers (Floor Manager and Beverage Manager); interface with BOH managers (Chef and Sous Chef) Lead weekly meetings with ownership and management Assess staffing needs; interview, onboard, and train new hires Fill in as needed during service when short-staffed (hosting, expo) Administrative Duties: Maintain and publish the staff schedule Prepare weekly payroll and tip splits for hourly staff members Interface with outside vendors (janitorial crew, valet service, maintenance personnel, linen service, etc.) Process invoices from F&B purveyors Maintain POS (Toast) and reservation system (Resy) Evaluate, create, and/or revise SOPs and house policies Qualities We Seek: Positive and collaborative attitude Passion for food, wine, service, and hospitality Consistent communication An eye for detail Thoughtful approach to leadership and dedication to a positive work environment Ability to take initiative and work well within a small management team Interest in long-term goal setting, business development, and staff development Requirements: Previous restaurant management experience and experience leading teams Working knowledge of local and state labor laws and HR standards Working knowledge of restaurant financials and operations Proficient written and verbal communication skills Ability to carry up to 50 lbs Compensation: Salary: $85-90K per annum Private event incentive payments 12 paid vacation days per annum Health insurance with monthly premium fully paid by the company after 90 days of employment Paid sick time Dining discounts This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. All employment at Simpatico Hospitality Group is at-will.
