Position: Accounting AI Specialist Type: Contract Compensation: $60–$80/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to journal entries, financial statement preparation, tax calculations, audit procedures, and accounting standards interpretation.

Create realistic scenarios based on accounting workflows such as month-end close, revenue recognition analysis, tax provision computation, internal control testing, and audit workpapers. Annotate, label, and validate data across accounting use cases like lease accounting under ASC 842 , consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and SOX compliance . Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in areas such as US GAAP , IFRS , IRC , PCAOB standards , and professional ethics.

Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for accounting-domain AI . Qualifications Must-Have 3+ years of professional experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4, national, regional, or local), corporate accounting department, or government/nonprofit finance function. Background in one or more areas such as external audit, tax, financial reporting and controllership, internal audit, and forensic accounting.

Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate accounting workflows into structured evaluation tasks. Clear written communication and attention to detail. Preferred CPA license or CPA exam progress.
