Join us as an Economic Crime Business Analyst – 6-month Secondment/Fixed‑term contract within Tesco Bank where you will help shape the future of banking by being responsible for managing a portfolio of customers requiring KYC reviews, ensuring all regulatory and compliance obligations are met while coordinating multiple related activities and workstreams. The role involves providing project management support by tracking progress, following up with stakeholders, driving completion of key actions, and helping to maintain a robust control environment. Key responsibilities include reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance, supporting change management, mitigating risks, and providing regular updates to stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely delivery of KYC and remediation objectives.

To be successful as an Economic Crime Business Analyst – 6-month Secondment/Fixed‑term contract, you must have the following essential skills: Demonstrable experience in project and/or programme management, with responsibility for coordinating complex workstreams and delivering against key milestones. Proven experience contributing to remediation projects, preferably within KYC, AML, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), or regulatory compliance environments. Good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and collaborate effectively across multiple business functions and seniority levels.

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with a of managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within tight deadlines. Demonstrable AML/KYC experience at an ownership, or subject matter expert level, with a considerable understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements. Experience operating within a robust controls and governance framework, including risk management, oversight, documentation review, and compliance monitoring.

Proven experience analysing and interpreting large and complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing data‑driven recommendations to support business decision‑making and continuous process improvement. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job‑specific technical skills. This role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Purpose of the role To support the Risk Function in delivering it’s objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities. Accountabilities Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up‑to‑date methodologies and processes. Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.

Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third‑party services. Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
