What Youll Be Doing (position summary): As part of the Technology transformation team, the Director, Engineering Effectiveness, Quality Engineering & Delivery Enablement is a senior leader responsible for improving how development, QA and application support teams work, reducing friction in workflows, and optimizing velocity. His role also works closely with various AI initiatives within the organization to empower teams through better tools, processes, and culture improving productivity and quality of deliverables. How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): Shift-left quality: Moving quality ownership into engineering teams, not leaving it as a downstream QA checkpoint. Test automation maturity: Building reusable automation frameworks, reducing manual regression effort, increasing coverage, and improving release confidence.

SDLC productivity: Improving requirements clarity, developer productivity, code quality, release velocity, defect leakage, environment stability, and CI/CD adoption. Engineering standards and governance: Defining playbooks, metrics, quality gates, engineering scorecards, and maturity models across teams. AI-led engineering enablement: Introducing AI for test case generation, code review assistance, defect analysis, documentation, support triage, knowledge management, and productivity measurement.

People Management & Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor managers, team leads, and others. Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Ensure employee engagement and retention during transitions.

Act as a cultural ambassador to align India operations with parent company values. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Collaborate with global technology leaders, business unit heads, HR, and operational excellence teams to ensure alignment on transition objectives, resource planning, and delivery standards. COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with all applicable company and line of business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.

As a people manager, ensure all employees within the business unit comply with these requirements. AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS: Authority to recommend changes to business processes for operational efficiency and effectiveness. Assign tasks, select individuals for hire, assess performance, make compensation decisions, and take disciplinary measures as required.

JOB DIMENSIONS: Responsible for driving improvements in development, QA, and application support workflows, leading teams through change, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Oversees shift-left quality practices, test automation maturity, engineering standards, and governance to enhance product quality and release confidence. Implements AI tools and practices to enable test case generation, code review, defect analysis, documentation, and productivity measurement across the SDLC.

Works with global leaders and business units to align on objectives, ensures compliance with company policies, and holds authority over operational decisions, hiring, and performance management. Experience: 15+ years of experience Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: Good to Have: 15+ years of experience driving large-scale technology and organizational transformation, with a proven track record of building and leading multiple teams across entire Software Development Lifecycle including Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production Support. Led quality engineering transformation , not just QA delivery.

Worked closely with development, DevOps, SRE, product, and support teams. Built automation frameworks and engineering metrics. Improved release velocity and reduced production defects.

Driven adoption of CI/CD, observability, test data management, service virtualization, and environment stability. Has credibility with engineering leaders, not just testing teams. Understands AI-assisted SDLC opportunities.
