Deputy Manager/ Manager - EHS

About Client: It is a premier Indian manufacturer of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), intermediates. It specializes in CDMO services for global innovator firms, operating 6+ USFDA/EU GMP-accredited plants Key Responsibilities: Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate with regulatory authorities such as Maharashtra Pollution Control Board for approvals, reporting, and inspections. Manage environmental systems including Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), hazardous waste management, and air pollution control systems. Implement process safety practices and conduct risk assessments such as Hazard and Operability Study . Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, solvents, and hazardous materials used in API manufacturing. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions. Manage work permit systems, contractor safety, and PPE compliance. Organize EHS training, safety awareness programs, and emergency mock drills for employees and contractors.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Environmental Science / Chemical Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred. Experience: 10–15 years of EHS experience in pharma/API or chemical manufacturing , with exposure to statutory compliance and process safety.
