Job Description Job Description A day in this role Start your morning in a company service truck (not a van), review digital work orders on your mobile device, and head to a commercial site to keep mission-critical cooling and heating equipment operating at peak performance. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, complete repairs, and document everything digitally—no handwritten tickets—before moving on to the next facility. About the opportunity We’re hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain, repair, service, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across commercial properties.
This is a permanent, full-time position. Wage is based on experience and will be discussed during the interview. We provide in-house training on applications you might not know yet, and many of our service team members have been with Skyline Mechanical for 15+ years.
Systems and equipment you’ll handle Cooling tower service Central Plant Service Chillers Chilled water pumps Ductless systems 10–50 ton units Built up systems Various commercial building systems Experience working with central plants and chilled water systems is a strong plus. Core responsibilities Service HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration systems. Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components and system faults. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly. Work in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate, timely records of work performed and materials used. What you bring 3+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC Service Technician. Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic capability.
Ability to perform property maintenance tasks related to HVAC installations. Proficiency in plumbing, welding, and refrigerating techniques is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Clear, professional communication with clients and teammates. Proficiency with HVAC/R systems and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
