Job Description
The Business Development Manager in the CapWest Group of Companies is responsible for driving strategic growth across all entities, including Forming, Pumping, Framing, Exterior Panel Systems, Drywall, Civil, and new acquisitions. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Projects span government, institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential markets.
Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all CapWest divisions. Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives. Research market trends and upcoming opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with indigenous relations, developers, contractors, consultants, and First Nations stakeholders. Act as primary contact for prospective clients and maintain ongoing First Nations relationships. Attend industry events and networking functions, bringing relevant team members from each division.
Track and manage leads, bids, and proposals; coordinate with internal teams to align opportunities with capacity. Provide reporting on pipeline and forecasts. Work with the Director of Business Operations & Development to prepare proposals and presentations.
Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure processes are followed and timelines align. Ensure visibility of opportunities across all divisions and align business development with operational priorities. Qualifications 5+ years of external sales experience in the construction industry.
Strong construction industry knowledge (preferred). Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Proven ability to generate and close business.
Familiarity working with First Nations in northwestern BC (asset). Salary $110,000-135,000 Per Year Benefits Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Company‑paid extended health, dental, vision, life, critical illness, and critical life insurance.
