Business Development Associate Vretta is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our growth and partnerships team. This position requires excellent communication skills, financial acumen, and a strategic mindset to identify new market opportunities and support the expansion of our student learning and assessment solutions. Responsibilities Conduct market analysis to identify potential recent clients, including school boards, school districts, private schools, etc.

Support the development and execution of outbound sales and partnership strategies. Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track leads, pipeline progress, and partner communications. Assist in creating compelling pitch decks, sales collateral, and formal proposals for prospective clients.

Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to help refine Vretta’s value proposition. Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align messaging and ensure client requirements are met. Assist in preparing for and scheduling meetings at industry events, webinars, and conferences.

Requirements Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or related business programs (specialization in Sales, International Business, or Strategy is a plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently articulate value propositions. Analytical thinker with a knack for spotting market trends and data‑driven opportunities.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Familiarity with B2B sales processes or CRM tools (asset).

Experience in lead generation, outreach, and skilled networking (asset). Background or strong interest in EdTech (Educational Technology) (asset). Presentation skills and experience building qualified sales collateral (asset).
