The Business Analyst - Investors supports our understanding and decision-making pertaining to our company’s equity by conducting financial analysis, peer research, and generating data-driven insights on our trading, investors, perception, and IR programs .
This on-site role is based in Toronto and is part of our Corporate Development team and provides critical support for investor relations, financial performance tracking, and strategic business initiatives. This position is in office 5 days a week and not offered Remote or hybrid Key Responsibilities: Investment & Financial Analysis Build internal financial models, valuation assessments (DCF, comparables), and forecasts. Analyze business performance metrics and financial results for insights and narratives.
Support due diligence needs for investment opportunities or strategic initiatives. Build and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools. Market & Competitor Research Monitor industry trends, economic indicators, investor thesis and narratives from both institutional and retail investors.
Track and evaluate our competitors and provide meaningful insights. Produce market intelligence reports for leadership. Investor Relations Support Assist in preparing investor updates, earnings materials, and presentations.
Help maintain investor communications, CRM tools, and documentation. Support investor meetings, events, and roadshows with insights for investor communications material, supporting videos and effective story telling. Respond to investor or stakeholder inquiries with accurate, timely data.
Reporting & Data Visualization Create dashboards, charts, and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Summarize complex data into clear insights for leadership and investors. Ensure accuracy and compliance with disclosure standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with finance, strategy, and operations teams to gather and validate data. Assist in aligning messaging, marketing content, and reporting for investor communications. Support long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Risk & Performance Monitoring Track financial, operational, and market risks affecting our company’s equity. Produce ongoing portfolio performance updates for leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. 2–4 years in investment analysis, Capital Market analysis , corporate finance, or investor relations analyst experience Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
Experience with analytics platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Refinitiv . Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization skills. Experience using IR CRM Platforms such as Irwin is an asset.
Knowledge of US Securities regulations is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional judgment, confidentiality, and investor-focused mindset. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
