Analyst - Private Equity

Who are we looking for? This role sits within Carnelian's Private Equity team, supporting end-to-end deal execution — from analysis and due diligence through to investment committee presentation and portfolio monitoring. You will work across multiple live transactions within a lean, high-performance team, with significant scope for learning and career progression on an established platform.

If you've been in this industry and feel ready to own a larger outcome, this is the opportunity to: Undertake deal analysis — industry mapping, business and financial assessment, financial modelling, peer benchmarking, valuation, and development of the investment thesis. Conduct due diligence on potential investments across commercial, financial, and operational dimensions. Prepare internal deal collateral, including Investment Committee notes and presentations.

Monitor portfolio companies on an ongoing basis, tracking performance and flagging emerging risks or opportunities. Build and periodically update sector and industry theses to inform deal sourcing and screening. Work across sectors and manage multiple live transactions concurrently, with efficient turnaround as a key expectation.

Apply AI and automation tools in regular workflows to improve speed and quality of analytical output. What will make you a good fit? You bring onboard: 0-2 years' experience, Preferably in Private Equity fund, family office, or corporate development / strategy.

Tier 1 MBA; CA or CFA preferred. Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capability. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deals or projects simultaneously with sharp, efficient turnaround.

Comfort working across sectors without a fixed industry mandate. Working proficiency with AI tools and automation to enhance analytical efficiency. Note: Sell-side candidates (investment banking, equity research) will not be considered.
