Job Description
Missile Systems Analyst – NETE (Weir Canada, Inc.) Location: Halifax, NS, Canada Employment Type: Permanent Full-time, Onsite Purpose: The Missile Systems Analyst performs flight modeling and simulation, supports system design and software algorithms, provides support to offshore system integration testing, develops analysis toolsets, and reports on performance of naval missile systems for the Royal Canadian Navy. The role includes liaison with naval projects, test execution, technical investigations and validation of system performance leading to the introduction of the River Class Destroyer. Work is primarily office‑based, occasionally shipboard and may involve short travel to other test locations.
Responsibilities Figure missile engagement envelopes and edge‑case performance. Design innovative missile firing analysis tools. Monitor missile performance and suggest improvements throughout equipment lifecycles.
Collaborate with NETE analysts, naval staff, industry scientists and engineers. Demonstrate a 100% commitment to zero‑harm safety behaviours. Qualifications Canadian citizenship and minimum 10years of continuous residency in Canada (required for Government of Canada security clearance).
Master’s degree in engineering or science in a relevant field (aerodynamics, missile guidance, or guided weapon systems). At least two years of missile analysis experience. Proficiency in large data manipulation, software programming, and combat systems integration.
