The Opportunity Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Data Analyst based out of our Calgary or Winnipeg office. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs that support business priorities and decision‑making Translate complex or ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and clear, actionable insights Partner closely with business teams to understand needs, clarify requirements, and deliver analytics that matter Develop trusted datasets and metric definitions that enable reliable self‑service analytics Coach and support business users in how to access, interpret, and use data with confidence Monitor dashboard usage and performance, continuously improving analytical products based on feedback and adoption Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and IT partners to ensure data is accurate, well‑governed, and production‑ready Apply and promote best practices for analytics, documentation, and data quality Leverage AI and analytical tools responsibly to improve efficiency, insight delivery, and productivity Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3–5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets Hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar Experience defining KPIs, metrics, and datasets that are trusted and consistently used Familiarity with modern data platforms (cloud data warehouses, Databricks, or similar) Experience with Python or R for analysis is an asset Exposure to AI‑enabled analytics tools is considered an asset What we are looking for A curious and disciplined problem‑solver who enjoys turning questions into insights A collaborative partner who can bridge technical data work and business needs A clear communicator who can explain insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences Someone who values accuracy, consistency, and trust in data A continuous learner who adapts to new tools, technologies, and evolving business priorities Other details This role is eligible for hybrid work, in office Tuesday - Thursday Open to candidates based in Calgary or Winnipeg Occasional travel between office locations may be required Permanent, full‑time position What we offer Be part of a proudly Canadian, privately owned energy company and grow your career with Manitoba’s largest oil producer Enjoy competitive total rewards, including salary, annual incentive pay, long‑term incentives for eligible roles, and employer‑matched RRSP contributions Comprehensive employer-paid benefits, including a $5,000 mental health benefit, Healthy Lifestyle Allowance, maternity top‑up, paid parental leave, and personal leave Ongoing learning and development opportunities, including training investments, leadership programs, professional designation reimbursement, engineer‑in‑training programs and company‑wide learning opportunities We recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
