Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Proposal Engineer to join our Quote & Estimation team. This is a process engineering and technical proposal role, focused on designing and developing competitive proposals for UF/MBR membrane systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in winning projects by delivering accurate, optimized, and competitive system designs and proposals.

While experience in wastewater treatment is not required, the ideal candidate will have strong expertise in water/wastewater treatment process design, system sizing, and techno-commercial proposal development. Areas of Accountability Technical Proposal Development Review client inquiries, RFPs, and technical specifications for water and wastewater treatment projects Perform process design and system sizing for UF/MBR membrane systems (flux selection, recovery, operating conditions) Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), system layouts, and preliminary P&IDs Prepare detailed technical proposals, including system descriptions and performance assumptions Costing & Estimation Develop bill of materials (BOM/BOQ) and system configurations Prepare CAPEX and OPEX estimates with clear cost assumptions Optimize designs to balance performance, cost, and competitiveness Work with internal teams and vendors to obtain accurate pricing Commercial & Sales Support Support sales teams during bid strategy, proposal submission, and client clarification stages Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and partners Contribute to improving proposal quality, consistency, and win rates Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with process engineering, product development, and sales teams Provide feedback to improve standard designs and product offerings Support continuous improvement of proposal tools, templates, and costing models Leadership & Growth Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge development within the team Lead or coordinate proposal efforts for large/complex bids Contribute to building scalable proposal processes and best practices Ideal Candidate Profile · Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or equivalent education preferred. Technical degree or diploma with relevant discipline and/or experience. · Minimum 5 years of related experience · Proven experience in proposal engineering, tendering, or system design · Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is an asset: o Membrane systems (MBR, UF, NF, RO) o Municipal or industrial wastewater treatment system · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Ability to work autonomously, self-starter. · Attention to detail and accuracy in design calculations, cost estimates, and technical documentation. · Effective communication with both technical and commercial stakeholders. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, bid-driven environment. · People leadership experience is an asset but not required.

This is an in house position. Working Monday to Friday. 8:30am-5pm, flexibility where business requires.
