Job Title Sales Development Representative Location Remote India / Remote US Compensation $45,000–$65,000 annually for full-time roles, with target based earnings, or $20–$35/hour for contract engagements. Employment Type Full-time or Contract Required Experience 2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, outbound sales, lead generation, customer outreach or a similar sales role. Candidates with strong communication skills and relevant internship, customer-facing or prospecting experience may also be considered.

Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred. Equivalent practical experience in sales, customer outreach, business development or revenue support will also be considered. About the Role We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help build qualified sales pipeline through thoughtful prospecting, outreach and early-stage buyer conversations.

This role works closely with sales, marketing and revenue teams to identify potential customers, understand their business needs and create meaningful opportunities for account executives or sales leaders. You will play an important role in starting conversations with the right prospects, keeping outreach organized and helping the company grow through consistent, well-researched sales activity. What You’ll Work On Research target accounts, buyer profiles and industries to identify prospects that match the company’s ideal customer profile.

Run outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, calls and other approved sales channels. Qualify prospects by understanding their business needs, current challenges, decision process and level of interest. Schedule qualified meetings or discovery calls for account executives, founders or senior sales team members.

Maintain accurate prospect records, outreach notes, follow-up tasks and deal information in the CRM. Work with sales and marketing teams to test messaging, improve outreach quality and increase reply rates. Follow up with inbound leads, event contacts, website inquiries or warm prospects when assigned.

Share market feedback, common objections and prospect insights with the wider revenue team. What We’re Looking For Experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, outbound sales, lead generation, customer outreach or a similar sales support role. Strong written and verbal communication skills for cold emails, LinkedIn messages, calls and follow-up notes.

Ability to research companies, understand buyer roles and personalize outreach without making messages sound generic. Comfort speaking with prospects, asking clear questions and identifying whether there is a real business need. Familiarity with CRM tools, sales trackers, email tools or prospecting platforms.

Strong organization skills for managing outreach sequences, follow-ups, meeting notes and lead status updates. Ability to handle rejection professionally and keep activity consistent without losing quality. Comfortable working remotely with sales teams, managers and prospects across different time zones.

Good to Have Experience selling or prospecting for SaaS, B2B software, technology services, AI products or business platforms. Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach or Salesloft. Experience working with US customers, global buyers or remote sales teams.

Understanding of sales funnels, qualification frameworks, discovery calls or outbound campaign reporting. Exposure to startup, early-stage company or founder-led sales environments.
