Job Description

Designs, builds, tests and implements interfaces and integrations according to specifications using the required protocols such as SQL, scripting languages, HL7, XML, Web Services, etc and data transformations or mappings when required. Demonstrates the ability to develop multiple integrations across multiple simultaneous projects, while staying within defined project timelines, and balancing multiple priorities/tasks. Ensures and enforces stability of data management and transfers through systems, for maintaining the integrity of the data residing on systems, facilitating and performing validations, and error resolution and decision making to complete or support business processing requirements.

Leads integration planning sessions and technical project calls, actively participates in regular project status meetings, and creates/updates appropriate project management documentation as required. Produces in-depth documentation of all operational integration development, policies and procedures as well as reviews and provides updates to existing documentation when appropriate. Works with vendors and clients to ensure needed coordination is in place between application owners and Integration development and support teams.

Partners with product development teams providing real-world feedback impacting architecture, features, and roadmap. Guides integration team on issue resolution escalations as a subject matter expert. Demonstrates the ability to proactively escal ate concerns/issues to the appropriate parties.

Participates in on-call rotation providing after-hours support for production integrations/applications. Reports and provides guidance on configuration/settings within the integrations platforms and supporting infrastructure with regards to performance or storage requirements to support the integration workloads. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or other technical fields. EXPERIENCE 7+ years clinical interface development, data management, database integrations, and data analysis 5+ years HL7, web services, XML, X12, 837/839, APIs, FHIR, SOAP, JSON 5+ years IT systems, networking, or infrastructure operations including troubleshooting connectivity issues. KNOWLEDGE Understanding and knowledge of HL7 interface engine technologies Working knowledge of communication methods (e.g., web services, SFTP, SSH, HTTP, TCP, etc.) Knowledge of data normalization (LOINC, Snomed, CPT, ICD-9, etc).

Experience with multiple database platforms (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) Healthcare Industry knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology. Health technologies โ€“ e.g., EHR, HIS, PMS, HL7, HIE, CDR, etc. Familiarity with project management methodologies โ€“ e.g., waterfall, agile, etc.

Familiarity with cloud services for databases and integrations delivered in Azure and AWS. Experience working with multiple clients and complex cross-environment data integrations SKILLS & ABILITIES Ability to work independently and as part of larger project teams Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Effective time management with both operational and project-based activities Professional communication skills internally and with external clients, both written and verbal Data and quality analysis from disparate data sources Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Data mappings and transformations Advanced SQL Queries Advanced Excel Skills PowerBI and other visualization tools Ability to break down and resolve complicated technical challenges Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment May require some travel. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
