Role Description MacKinnon Magnetics is looking for a highly organized and proactive Program / Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a training program hosted through our facility in Concord, Ontario. This is a full-time, one-year contract role with the potential to be extended into another contract or a permanent full-time position based on company needs and program requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts at once.
This role will work closely with internal team members, external training providers, participants, and other program stakeholders to ensure the program runs smoothly from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and coordination of a training program hosted at MacKinnon Magnetics. Coordinate participant schedules, attendance, and training logistics.
Ensure participants are present at the correct training location, whether at MacKinnon Magnetics or another approved facility. Track attendance, certifications, program milestones, and required documentation. Work with trainers and external partners to ensure training sessions are properly organized and supported.
Coordinate required PPE and other materials needed for participants. Help ensure participants receive appropriate certificates, sign-offs, or completion documentation. Maintain organized records, files, spreadsheets, and program documentation.
Support participant communication, reminders, onboarding, and general program-related questions. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and keep the program on track. Assist with job postings, participant recruitment support, and program-related marketing or online postings as needed.
Support coordination of participant stipends or related documentation where required. Identify operational needs and take initiative to ensure the program runs efficiently. Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the successful delivery of the program.
Qualifications and Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience in project coordination, program coordination, operations, training administration, education, workforce development, or a related role. Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when tracking records, attendance, and documentation. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, email, shared files, and basic office software. Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including internal staff, trainers, participants, and external organizations.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Self-motivated and able to take initiative in a busy environment. Experience with training programs, skilled trades, recruitment, manufacturing, or workforce development is considered an asset.
This is an in-office role based at MacKinnon Magnetics, located at 2 Bessemer Court, Concord, ON.
