Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking an Accounting Manager with a blend of public accounting and private industry experience, ideally with exposure to fixed income, credit, or loan products. Responsibilities Oversee accounting and financial reporting for fixed income / credit portfolios, including loans and related instruments Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Review and analyze investment activity, including interest income, amortization/accretion, and loan-related transactions Ensure accurate accounting treatment for loan positions and credit instruments Partner with internal teams including Investment, Operations, and Treasury on portfolio activity and reporting Support preparation of financial statements and work closely with auditors during audit cycles Assist with process improvements, controls, and system enhancements Mentor and oversee junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications 5–8+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and financial services industry experience Experience with fixed income, loans, private credit, or credit instruments strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr
