Quality Manager – Birmingham, AL Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 + Bonus + Benefits We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing client in the Birmingham area who is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead site quality systems, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring product quality, maintaining strong customer satisfaction, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership position with full responsibility for the site quality function.

You will work closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to strengthen quality systems, reduce defects, and implement a proactive, prevention-focused quality strategy. The business is focused on operational excellence and is looking for a leader who can combine technical quality expertise with strong team leadership and cross-functional influence. Key responsibilities: Leading the site Quality function and quality team Owning and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer-specific requirements Managing internal and external audits Leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Driving reduction in scrap, defects, and customer complaints Partnering with production, engineering, and maintenance teams Leading continuous improvement initiatives related to quality performance Acting as primary contact for customer quality issues and escalations Developing, coaching, and mentoring quality staff Requirements: 5–10+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing quality leadership roles Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems Experience in automotive, aerospace, metals, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing preferred Proven experience leading audits and corrective action systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills Experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred Six Sigma or Lean certification is a plus Package: Base salary: $110,000 – $140,000 Annual performance bonus Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays
