Job Description Job Description Senior Commercial Litigation Paralegal Location: Houston Galleria Area Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000+ DOE, plus bonus opportunity A well-established and highly respected Houston law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is a newly created position designed to support a group of 3-5 attorneys handling complex business litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation paralegal who enjoys taking ownership of cases, working directly with attorneys, and serving as a key contributor throughout the entire litigation process. The practice that this paralegal supports currently manages approximately 35-45 active matters and is seeking a highly organized professional who can thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment. Key Responsibilities * Support attorneys in all phases of commercial and business litigation matters in Texas state and federal courts * Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, and case schedules * Calculate, monitor, and communicate critical filing and litigation deadlines * Prepare, file, and electronically submit court documents in state and federal courts * Draft and prepare litigation documents including discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, affidavits, privilege logs, and document production logs * Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events * Communicate with court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, witnesses, court reporters, and outside vendors * Assist with document collection, organization, review, and production * Utilize e-discovery platforms and litigation support tools to manage large document productions * Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists, deposition designations, and other pre-trial materials * Create tables of contents, tables of authorities, and assist with brief preparation * Bates label, redact, organize, and maintain litigation documents * Coordinate service of process and track litigation-related assignments and deadlines * Prepare demonstrative exhibits and trial presentation materials * Assist attorneys during hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including courtroom logistics and exhibit management * Maintain accurate case files and ensure confidential information is handled appropriately Qualifications * Minimum of 9+ years of paralegal experience with a strong concentration in commercial, business, or complex civil litigation * Extensive experience in both Texas state and federal court procedures * Strong knowledge of litigation timelines, docketing, e-filing, and deadline management * Experience with e-discovery and document review platforms such as Relativity, DISCO, Everlaw, or similar systems * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems * Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication abilities * Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines * Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary of $80,000-$100,000+ , depending on experience * Discretionary performance-based bonus * Comprehensive benefits package * 401(k) plan * Life insurance * Paid time off * Free parking This opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced litigation paralegal seeking a long-term position with a stable, collegial law firm that values its employees and provides meaningful involvement in sophisticated business litigation matters.
