Contract & Procurement Support: Assist project development teams in the creation of equipment datasheets for procurement and deliver rigorous technical guidance during the negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and supply contracts. Commissioning & Quality Assurance: Define and monitor quality, commissioning, and startup attributes—including equipment storage care, pre-energization inspections, and documentation checkout—to ensure readiness for operational turnover.

Issue Resolution: Mitigate and resolve complex technical issues related to system configuration, equipment selection, and regulatory alignment during project execution. Field Support: Deliver robust technical support to field teams during construction, clarifying technical specifications and assisting in the formal acceptance of commissioning documentation. Required Qualifications Education & Professional Designation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; possession of a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or P.E.) designation is mandatory.

Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of utility-scale renewable projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems. Technical Acumen: Proven expertise in both DC and AC electrical systems spanning distribution to transmission levels, as well as automated power plant control systems. Document Comprehension: Advanced capability to interpret complex engineering drawings, contract documents, supplier procedures, and regulatory frameworks.

Systems Competency: High proficiency with enterprise systems and standard professional productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel). Core Competencies: Exceptional strategic decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proven track record of working independently and maintaining an unwavering commitment to operational safety. Preferred Qualifications Specialized System Design: Demonstrated experience with SCADA system design, grid compliance testing, and specialized interconnection requirements.

Installation Methodologies: Advanced knowledge of cutting‑edge equipment installation methods and practices within the renewable energy sector. Location: North York, ON (Preferred); alternative potential locations include Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB.
