Senior Engineer

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team on a major reinforced concrete (RC) frame project. This key role is responsible for leading engineering delivery on site, ensuring quality, safety, and programme objectives are achieved. Department: Engineering Location: Sheffield, Yorkshire Responsibilities Lead and manage setting out activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications Mentor and supervise Site and Section Engineers, promoting engineering best practice Review drawings, identify design changes, and raise technical queries where required Oversee subcontractors and coordinate site activities to avoid programme clashes Ensure quality assurance, ITP compliance, and right first time delivery Manage temporary works, risk assessments, and safe systems of work Maintain strong control of construction information and technical documentation Qualifications HNC/HND or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Proven experience delivering RC frame or heavy civils projects Strong technical knowledge, including setting out and engineering principles Experience managing teams and mentoring junior engineers SMSTS qualified; TWC desirable Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Benefits 26 days holiday plus bank holidays Private Healthcare Car Allowance Company Pension Volunteering Days – With Careys Foundation or other organisations that are important to you Health Care Cashplan Cycle to work scheme Car Leasing Scheme Discounted Gym Membership Life Assurance Buy/sell holidays Other discounts and Cashback plans #J-18808-Ljbffr
