Fire Protection Design Manager

A leading design-build mechanical contractor is hiring a Fire Protection Design Manager to lead and grow its Fire Protection division in Portland, OR. This is a highly specialized, senior-level role responsible for overseeing fire sprinkler design while also managing projects and mentoring a team of designers. This person will act as both a technical expert and leader, supporting complex projects from pre-construction through execution.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in fire sprinkler system design, has led teams or large projects, and can operate in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment. This role supports a wide range of project types including data centers, healthcare facilities, and high-rise commercial buildings. Desired Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in fire sprinkler / fire protection design Experience working on complex projects (e.g. data centers, large commercial builds, etc.) NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems Layout Strong Knowledge of NFPA codes (13,13R, 14, 20) Proficiency in AutoCAD and fire protection design tools (HydraCAD, AutoSprink, etc.) Experience overseeing design teams or management design workflows #J-18808-Ljbffr
