Job Description

As the Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role leads site teams, coordinates trades and subcontractors, and works closely with project managers, consultants, and homeowners to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilitie sManage and oversee all phases of residential construction projects, including single-family homes, townhomes, and multi-family developments .Lead and supervise site supervisors, trades, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules .Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to address delays .Ensure compliance with building codes, company standards, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations .Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, workmanship, and project consistency .Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics to support uninterrupted construction activities .Collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues .Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and support cost-control initiatives throughout the build process .Review and approve change orders, deficiencies, and project documentation .Maintain accurate reporting on project status, timelines, risks, and site activities .Foster strong relationships with homeowners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and communication throughout the construction process .

Qualificatio nsProven experience in residential construction management (single-family and/or multi-family ).Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building practice s.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specification s.Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractor s.Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and best practice s.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skill s.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management tool s.Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asse t.PMP certification or equivalent project management training is considered an asse t.
