About the Role Overview CPGIO is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Financial Data Engineer to architect, maintain, and scale critical financial and operational reporting infrastructure across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance, accounting, data engineering, and business intelligence. You will support executive leadership with accurate, high-availability reporting and deep operational visibility across sales, profitability, inventory, reconciliation, and general ledger systems.
The ideal candidate understands both technical data architecture and financial business logic, with hands‑on experience working with ERP/accounting platforms such as NetSuite, and a strong commitment to data accuracy, governance, auditability, and operational reliability. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain financial data pipelines and reporting infrastructure Integrate and normalize data across ERP, ecommerce, operational, and warehouse systems Support and optimize critical financial reporting areas: General Ledger reporting Profitability analysis Revenue reporting Inventory and COGS analysis Develop scalable reporting solutions with high uptime and data integrity Ensure data governance, validation, reconciliation, and audit readiness across reporting environments Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Executive teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions Improve automation and reduce manual reconciliation workflows Build tools and systems that increase transparency into operational and financial performance Assist in architecting modern AI‑enabled data workflows and intelligent reporting systems What We're Looking For A systems thinker who understands how financial data flows through an organization Someone who values precision, accountability, and operational excellence An engineer capable of bridging the gap between finance, operations, and technology A builder who can create scalable, trustworthy reporting infrastructure that leadership can rely on Requirements Required Qualifications Strong experience in data engineering, financial systems, or analytics engineering Deep familiarity with: Accounting workflows and financial statements AP/AR processes and reconciliation logic General Ledger structures Profitability and sales reporting ERP & Systems Experience Hands‑on experience working with ERP/accounting systems such as: NetSuite SAP Technical Skills Strong SQL and data modeling experience Proven track record building reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and reporting systems Understanding of data governance, validation, lineage, and reporting accuracy Experience supporting business‑critical production reporting environments Preferred Technical Skills Experience with one or more of the following is highly preferred: Programming Languages: Python, R, Node.js Frontend Development: React Data Infrastructure: Data warehousing technologies Business Intelligence: Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or Metabase Integration: API integrations and data synchronization systems Cloud & Modern Data Stack: Cloud infrastructure and modern data stack tooling AI & Modern Data Stack Experience (Preferred) We are especially interested in candidates excited about the future of AI‑enabled business systems and data intelligence.
