Job Description We are looking for an Intermediate Project Controls Analyst to support complex, high-impact projects. This role offers a balance of responsibility and support, providing opportunities to deepen technical expertise while expanding strategic understanding of project delivery. Responsibilities Implement and execute project controls plans to support contractual obligations across diverse projects.
Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of planned value, actual cost, earned value, and schedule performance. Support the development of baseline budgets and work breakdown structures to manage project hours and expenditures. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to reduce cost, schedule, or performance risks.
Prepare monthly progress reports, invoicing packages, and forecast accruals to support strong financial project performance. Assist in building reporting packages for project managers, leadership, and corporate stakeholders. Contribute to cost plans, quality plans, change management strategies, and risk management plans.
Coordinate billing, compile monthly invoices, track approvals, and follow up on payments and subcontractor receivables. Produce comprehensive project reports for teams, clients, and senior leaders as required. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in project management, finance, business, or a related field.
French/English bilingualism is mandatory, and ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages (written and verbal). 3–6 years of experience in project controls or financial management; experience in engineering or construction environments is an asset. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project management tools. Ability to navigate multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while adapting to shifting timelines.
Strong relationship‑building abilities and comfort collaborating with technical and non‑technical teams. Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Power BI is an asset. Ability to learn and navigate WSP’s enterprise management system (Oracle).
Location This opportunity is open to candidates across Canada, with the ability to work from any major WSP office. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500 MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200 NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $70,600 – $97,200 The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
