Job Overview As a Data Analyst at WCB Manitoba, you will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise data initiatives.

Your focus will be on data classification, encryption, and masking, working closely with technical and compliance teams to ensure robust data governance across both on‑prem and cloud environments. Act as a bridge between compliance requirements and technical implementation. Perform hands‑on data analysis using MS SQL Server.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and reporting. Collaborate with DBAs, Data Architects, Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams. Maintain audit‑ready documentation and analysis artifacts.

Requirements Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Advanced SQL skills (query writing, execution plans, data profiling). Experience with data classification, encryption, or masking.

Knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, FIPPA, PHIA, CCPA). Experience working in regulated or audit‑driven environments. Preferences Familiarity with tools such as Azure Purview, Informatica, Titus, or similar.

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL MI, and cloud data environments. Understanding of masking techniques (substitution, shuffling, nulling, etc.). Knowledge of KMS, backup/recovery, and secure data handling.
